Document Management Software
A document management system (DMS) is a system (based on computer programs in the case of the management of digital documents) used to track, manage and store documents and reduce paper.
Most area unit capable of keeping a record of the varied versions created and changed by completely different users (history tracking).
The term has some overlap with the ideas of content management systems.
It is typically viewed as a part of enterprise content management (ECM) systems and associated with digital plus management, document imaging, advancement systems and records management systems.
